Zenobia is a legendary commander in Rise of Kingdoms (specializing in “Infantry,” “Garrison,” and “Defense”). The Queen of Palmyra, who defied Rome, is a Garrison Infantry unit with a recovery ability: her defense rises from the wounds time and time again, just as her kingdom rose up against the empire.

Historical Background

Zenobia was a 3rd-century Queen of Palmyra who conquered Egypt and Asia Minor from Rome. Defeated by Emperor Aurelian, she was paraded through Rome in golden chains—and, according to legend, released with honors.
