Lee Seong-ge is the strongest legendary archer hero in Rise of Kingdoms. He pairs exceptionally well with Sid Campeador.

Although the game has long emphasized cavalry, and Minamoto is a hero available for purchase while there are no archer heroes available for purchase, there is a belief that archers in the game are significantly stronger than cavalry. In some cases, this is indeed true.

For example, if you level up Lee Seong-gye to a high level.

Expert Lee Seong-Gye is a commander who has long remained on the list of top commanders and meta commanders—and he truly deserves that status. Expert Lee Seong-Gye can be used in various scenarios, even for leveling up other commanders. It all comes down to his Expert skill—Storm of Arrows. He’s the kind of commander worth leveling up to the Expert tier.

The minimum level for Lee Song-ge is 5-5-1-1. After that, you can safely unlock his 4th star; this way, you’ll skip his third skill—Joseon Dynasty—and as you continue leveling him up, there’s a good chance you can reach 5-5-1-5 (or close to it) with minimal investment.

What’s wrong with Lee Seong-gye at 5-1-1-1? You’ll be using him with a full squad of archers, and the strength of his second skill—Art of the Archers—provides an attack bonus specifically for those archers.
