Takeda Shingen- Legendary commander in Rise of Kingdoms (Cavalry, Mobility and Skill specializations). The most durable "half-tank" cavalryman: reduces damage taken with skills and accumulates boosts in a long battle. The basis of the cavalry rally meta of its generation.

Historical background

Takeda Shingen is the legendary Japanese daimyo of the Sengoku era, the "Tiger Kai". His cavalry was considered invincible, and the principle of “wind, forest, fire, mountain” from his banners became a classic of military art.

Leveling priority

5-5-1-1, then to 5555. The first and second skills are required at 5 - they are what make Takeda tenacious.

"Cavalry" + "Mobility": damage, defense and march speed. For the rally, take nodes for damage to the garrison/buildings.

Player reviews

Players value Takeda as the "cavalry that doesn't die": against skilled commanders, he soaks up massive damage. Frequent advice is to keep him the main one in the rally, and not in the field: in the solo field his tankiness is less noticeable.

Adviсe

Takeda is strong against nukers - his passive does not work against commanders of regular attacks. Do not place him against Attila+unknown units as number two without reconnaissance. An excellent choice for city rallies in KvK.
