The developers of Rise of Kingdoms announced the merger of the kingdoms and the return of the Troubles mode
The September edition of Face-to-Face, the traditional meeting between Rise of Kingdoms developers and players, turned out to be one of the most eventful in 2026. According to the authors of the reviews, they talked about about twelve key topics, and the main ones directly affect the future of the game.
Merge of kingdoms
The main news for veterans: Lilith is officially working on merging the kingdoms. The company gave D-Seed and the sparsely populated kingdoms the right to choose how they would unite. For long-standing servers where activity has long been at a minimum, this is a chance to return full-fledged gameplay without having to start over.
Crystal technology rework
The developers have confirmed that the reworking of crystal technologies is already in the works. According to them, in the new system, squad capacity technologies will unlock earlier, which will make progress in the Lost Kingdom less painful, especially for players joining the season late. Details of the rework will be revealed later.
What else did they promise?
- Return of the Troubles mode : strife mode, which disappeared from the game earlier, will return in an updated form.
- Weapon changes : the system is promised to be improved taking into account player feedback.
- Further optimization of The Lost Kingdom , including pioneer testing of new mechanics.
The exact release dates for the changes have not yet been announced - developers traditionally first test such mechanics on test servers. But the fact of the merger of the kingdoms has been awaited for several years, and now it has been officially confirmed.
