Rise of Kingdoms: Ivan the Terrible will become the new legendary commander - skills have already been revealed

Lilith Games has revealed the skills of the new legendary commander of Rise of Kingdoms - Ivan IV, aka Ivan the Terrible. The announcement was published in the official X-account of the game, and for the Russian-speaking community this event is special: players have been asking the developers to add Russian commanders for years, and now - the first Tsar of All Rus' in the game.

Who is Ivan IV in RoK

Ivan the Terrible is a legendary cavalry commander with the Cavalry, Versatility talents and the new Combo mechanic. According to the first assessments of players, this is a machine for the open field: his squad receives up to 50% defense, 30% health, 10% attack and 15% march speed for cavalry, and the number of seriously wounded is reduced by 10% - the survivability of such a march is comparable to that of an infantry one.

The active skill “Ivory Throne” deals two combo attacks in a fan area, hitting up to three targets with a damage coefficient of up to 1400. In battle, Ivan accumulates charges of “Royal Will”, which enhance the skill, and when activated, receives from two to six random enhancements from the “Royal Decree” set - for damage, rage and protection.

The “Terror” effect stands out separately: when dealing combo damage, the unit has a 30% chance of applying a debuff to the target, cutting the enemy’s attack by 30% and march speed by 20%.

When to wait

Along with Ivan IV, the skills of another new legendary commander, William Marshal, were also revealed. Lilith has not yet announced the exact date for the appearance of both of them in the game: usually several weeks pass from the reveal of skills to release.
