How to download Roblox on PC and phone: step-by-step instructions

Roblox is available on almost all platforms: Windows PC, Mac, Android, iPhone and iPad, Xbox. We tell you how to download and install the game on each device, and discuss common installation problems.

How to Download Roblox on Windows PC

Open the official roblox.com website in your browser.
Register or log in to your account.
Open the page of any game and click the green Play button.
The site will offer to download the RobloxPlayer installer - run it and wait for installation.
After installation, click Play again - the game will launch through the installed client.

Alternative: Roblox app in Microsoft Store (Windows 10/11). The store version updates automatically and is suitable for children's Windows accounts.

How to Download Roblox on Mac

Visit roblox.com from Safari or another browser.
Log in to your account, open any game and click Play.
Download the provided .dmg file, open it and move Roblox to Programs.
When you first launch macOS, you may ask for confirmation - allow opening in the “Privacy and Security” settings.

How to download Roblox to your phone

Android

Install the game from Google Play or the official application store of your phone (RuStore and others). Type “Roblox” into the search and check that the developer is listed as Roblox Corporation - this will protect against fakes. You shouldn’t download third-party APKs from websites: they often hide viruses and account thieves.

iPhone and iPad

Open the App Store, search for Roblox by Roblox Corporation and click Download. You will need an Apple ID for installation.

PC:Windows 10/11 (64-bit), any modern processor, 4 GB of RAM, video card supporting DirectX 10.
Mac:macOS 10.13 High Sierra and later.
Android:version 8.0 and later, from 2 GB of RAM.
iOS:iPhone and iPad on current versions of iOS.

Common installation problems

The installer freezes- Reboot the device and repeat, temporarily disable the antivirus.
"Not enough space"— free up 1–2 GB on the disk or phone memory.
The game is not updating— remove the client completely and install it again from the official website or store.
