Crew equipment and perks in World of Tanks: what to install (2026)
Information is current as of August 2026.
“What should I put on the tank?” - a question that sounds under every review of any car. And for good reason: the same tank with a “stock” crew and random equipment and the same tank with the correct setup are two different vehicles in terms of efficiency. We have collected current recommendations for 2026 on equipment and crew perks after its major rework, plus typical errors from the comments.
Equipment: basic sets by class
Three slots, and the choice almost always comes down to enhancing the main quality of the machine. Time-tested connections:
- Heavy tanks: Rammer + Vertical stabilizer + Ventilation/Hardening. “Hardening” (improving strength) is especially important for machines with weak modules and those who like to play on the first line.
- Medium tanks: Rammer + Stabilizer + Optics or Ventilation. ST - station wagons: aggressive ones have a turbine, sniper ones have aiming drives.
- Light tanks: Coated optics + Camouflage net (or Survival Kit) + Ventilation. Light is your damage: visibility and stealth first, everything else comes later.
- Tank destroyer: Rammer + Stabilizer + Optics (for “snipers” - Turbine or Masknet). Tower tanks like T30 are suitable for heavy sets.
- Artillery: Rammer + Stabilizer + Aiming drives - reload speed and information decide everything.
Two rules from the comments. First: do not throw away the removed equipment - a dismantling kit or 10 gold saves it for other machines. Second: bonus and trophy setups (for bonds and from events) bet on the most played machines - the difference with conventional equipment is noticeable.
