Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have finally shared official details about the most anticipated game of the decade - Grand Theft Auto VI. During the financial briefing, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that the release will take place November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. True, PC fans will have to wait - the port is expected no earlier than the fall of 2027.
Marketing starts this summer
Zelnick also revealed promotion plans: a full marketing campaign for GTA 6 will begin in the coming months, as soon as summer arrives. This means players can expect new trailers, screenshots, and gameplay demos as early as June-July 2026.
How much will it cost
The official price has not yet been announced, but insiders from Insider Gaming are confident that the basic version will cost 80 dollars. The $100 price tag, which was actively discussed on the Internet, according to them, will only apply to expanded and collector's editions. By comparison, standard AAA releases in recent years cost $70-$80, so GTA 6 fits into the current trend.
What is known about multiplayer
The online mode of GTA Online 2 (or whatever it will be called) will not launch on the first day of sales. Take-Two plans to introduce multiplayer in the short term after release, likely in the early months of 2027. This follows the strategy of GTA 5, where GTA Online came out two weeks after the launch of the single-player campaign.

GTA 6 is a key financial project for Take-Two Interactive. The success of the game will directly affect the company's stock quotes and set the tone for the entire gaming industry in the coming years.
