GTA 6 Map: Vice City, Leonid State, and All Locations (2026)

GTA 6 is set in the modern-day state of Leonida—a fictional version of Florida—whose main city is the revamped Vice City, modeled after Miami. The map is estimated to be about 1.7 times larger than that of GTA 5, and Rockstar calls the game “the biggest and most immersive evolution in the series’ history.” Let’s take a look at all the known locations.

Vice City and Vice Dale County

The heart of the game is Vice City in Vice Dale County (based on Miami-Dade County). Rockstar describes it as “America’s capital of sun and fun”: the pastel Art Deco hotels and snow-white beaches of Ocean Beach, the bakeries of Little Cuba, the Tisha-Voka flea market, and the port of Vice City—the “cruise ship capital of the world.” Confirmed neighborhoods and locations: Weiss Beach, Ocean Beach, South Beach, Washington Beach, Little Havana, Little Haiti, Lift Links, the Venetian Islands, Weiss City International Airport, Gloriana Key, Stockard near the business district, and a full-fledged metro system with an operational tram.

The Six Counties of Leonida

The state is divided into counties—as of mid-2026, six are known:

  • Weiss-Dale (southeast)—Weiss City itself and its beaches;
  • Leonard (northeast)—suburbs and highways;
  • Ambrosia (center)—the industrial town of the same name surrounding the sugar factory;
  • Kelly (northwest)—the provincial hinterland;
  • Mariana (southwest)—the Grass Rivers swamps, similar to the Everglades, and the Leonida Keys archipelago, modeled after the Florida Keys;
  • Lammock (north) — Mount Kalaga National Park, featuring mountains and forests; this county is currently known only through a leak.

Key locations outside the city

  • Port Hellhorn—the state’s second-largest city, an industrial coastal hub with its own police force (the lettering on patrol cars suggests that different regions will have different police departments);
  • Grass Rivers—endless swamps with alligators, jet skis, and smugglers;
  • Leonida Keys—tropical islands, speedboats, and, judging by the storyline, drug trafficking: this is where Jason works;
  • Mount Kalaga—mountains, forests, and wildlife on the state’s northern border;
  • Lake Leonida—a large lake in the center of the map.

Interiors, Wildlife, and the Underwater World

According to information from the official website and leaks, the game will feature over 700 explorable buildings: nightclubs and strip clubs, motels, restaurants, pawn shops, supermarkets, Ammu-Nation gun stores, and subway stations. Leonida’s wildlife includes alligators, wild boars, snakes, raccoons, and lynxes. A standout feature is the explorable underwater areas with treasures: scuba gear has already been officially revealed in gameplay footage.

Map Leak and Comparison with GTA 5

In August 2026, a detailed map—allegedly from a developer build—leaked online: it confirms six counties, several cities, and a host of small settlements that Rockstar has not yet officially announced. In terms of perimeter, the Leonida map is about 1.7 times larger than the GTA 5 map, but thanks to the swamps and islands, it will feel even more expansive. There’s also a fan theory about an “evolving map”—that the state will grow with updates, like the island in Fortnite—but these are just rumors for now.
