GTA 6 Characters: Lucia Caminos, Jason Duval, and the Entire Confirmed Cast (2026)
For the first time in the history of the main series, GTA 6 features a female protagonist—or, more precisely, a pair of main characters: Lucía Caminos and Jason Duvall. Based on the trailers, Rockstar’s official biographies, and the “Only in Leonida” pages, almost the entire main cast is already known. Here’s a rundown of who’s who in Leonida.
Lucía Caminos
Lucía is the first female protagonist in a major GTA game in the series’ more than twenty-year history. She’s the daughter of immigrants from Liberty City: her father taught her to fight from childhood, and ultimately, “fighting for her family” landed Lucia in Leonida’s prison. According to her official biography, she was released “by pure chance”—and she has no intention of relying on luck anymore: “only smart moves from now on.” Her goal is the very best life her mother dreamed of. The second trailer opens with a scene of Lucia’s release set to The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together”: Jason meets her at the prison gates. In Rockstar’s footage, Lucia is a full-fledged participant in heists and shootouts, not just a “sidekick”: she makes decisions under pressure and talks a lot about trust.
Jason Duval
Jason grew up among con artists and crooks; after a turbulent youth, he joined the army, and now lives on the Leonid-Kiss Islands and works for local drug runners. An old smuggler named Brian Heder provides him with free housing—in exchange for help with his “business.” Jason wants a quiet life, but it “only gets more complicated,” and his encounter with Lucia, according to Rockstar, “could be the best or worst thing that ever happened to him.” The plot setup is straightforward: a simple job goes off the rails, and the pair find themselves “on the darkest side of America’s sunniest spot”—at the center of a state-wide criminal conspiracy, where survival depends on relying solely on each other.
Supporting Cast: Who’s Confirmed
- Brian Heder—a veteran smuggler who runs a boat station on Kees; it’s through him that Jason operates in the world of drug trafficking;
- Cal Hampton—Jason’s friend and Brian’s right-hand man; he stays at home and listens in on Coast Guard communications;
- Bubby Ike—an influential businessman in Vice City: real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio;
- Dre’Kuan Priest—a music executive building the Only Raw Records label with Bubi’s support;
- Real Dimez—a rap duo consisting of Bay-Lux and Roxy, longtime friends who are trying to make a comeback through music and social media hype; they’re signed to Dre’Kuan’s label;
- Raul Bautista—a seasoned bank robber who’s always on the lookout for talented people to join his team for dangerous heists.
How the characters are connected
The structure currently resembles intersecting circles rather than a single gang: at the center are Lucia and Jason; surrounding Jason is Brian on Kees’s smuggling ring; surrounding Vice City is Booby and Dre’Kuan’s music-and-crime empire; and Raul appears separately with his own operations. Rockstar hasn’t revealed exactly how the couple will cross paths with each of them—and that’s the main intrigue of the plot. The theme of trust between Lucia and Jason comes up constantly in the promotional materials—expect a “Bonnie and Clyde”-style story told from their first-person perspectives.
