How many days until the release of GTA 6 — a live countdown to the November 19, 2026, release
This information is current as of September 2026.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Below is a live countdown showing how many days, hours, minutes, and seconds remain until the release of the most anticipated game of the decade.
What We Know About the GTA 6 Release
- Release date: November 19, 2026—this is the third official date following delays from 2025 and May 26, 2026. Rockstar and Take-Two have repeatedly confirmed that this is the final release date.
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. There will be no versions for PS4 or Xbox One.
- Pre-download: The digital pre-download begins on November 12, 2026—one week before release.
- Pre-orders: Open starting June 25, 2026, on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and at retailers.
- PC version: Not announced. Similar to GTA 5, the port isn’t expected until late 2027 or early 2028.
When will GTA 6 be released on PC?
Rockstar is sticking to its classic strategy: console release first, then a port. GTA 5 made its way to PC 19 months after its console launch, and Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived 13 months later. If history repeats itself, GTA 6 will be released on PC in late 2027 or early 2028. There have been no official announcements yet—all “GTA 6 PC release dates” circulating online remain unconfirmed.
Should We Expect Another Delay?
In late August 2026, Rockstar North’s head of development, Rob Nelson, stated in an interview with Famitsu that the game “will be released on time.” In its August financial report, Take-Two included a November 19 release date in its revenue forecast with a “high degree of confidence.” Pre-orders are open, and pre-loading is scheduled—all signs point to this being the final date.
