Warcraft is Blizzard’s legendary universe, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024: from the 1994 strategy game *Warcraft: Orcs & Humans* to *World of Warcraft*, the world’s leading MMORPG with a history spanning more than 20 years. Today, the universe spans several games: World of Warcraft with the Midnight expansion, WoW Classic, the card game Hearthstone, and the mobile game Warcraft Rumble.

World of Warcraft: Midnight — The Latest Expansion
Midnight, the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga trilogy, was released on March 2, 2026. Players returned to a revamped Kel’Thalas to fight back against Xal’atat and the forces of the Void. The level cap has been raised to 90, the Harani allied race has been added, the third Demon Hunter specialization—Devourer—has been introduced, and a full-fledged housing system—the first in the game’s 22-year history—has been implemented.
Current patch: 12.1 Curse of Ula’tek (August 11, 2026): Coiled Isle, the Altar of Fangs dungeon, and new raids. Season 2 is in full swing: the eight-boss Venomous Abyss raid, a new Mythic+ season, and PvP. “Labyrinths”—a new raid format in the spirit of expeditions—are planned for the rest of the year.
WoW Classic and Other Games in the Universe
- WoW Classic: The Burning Crusade Classic anniversary servers are live (launched in February 2026), and Mists of Pandaria Classic continues with the “Siege of Orgrimmar” raid;
- Hearthstone: A Warcraft-themed card game with regular expansions;
- Warcraft Rumble: a mobile strategy game featuring miniature versions of Azeroth’s heroes;
- Coming up: The Last Titan, the finale of the Worldsoul Saga (expected in 2027–2028), and BlizzCon 2026 with announcements about the future of the universe.
