The Sims 4 is a rare case when developers not only tolerate cheat codes, but officially support them: EA itself publishes a list of codes on its website. Cash in, needs filled, maxed skills, free houses - all available through the built-in console and works on PC, Mac, PlayStation and Xbox. This article contains a complete list of The Sims 4 cheats with input instructions and secrets that the guides are silent about.
How to open the console and enable cheats
- PC:hold Ctrl + Shift + C. On Mac - Command + Shift + C.
- PlayStation and Xbox:hold down all four side buttons of the gamepad at the same time (L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 / LB + LT + RB + RT).
An input line will appear at the top of the screen. First of all, entertestingcheats true— this code opens access to advanced cheats and hidden menus by Shift + click. Without it, half of the codes from the article will not work.
Note for consoles:On PS and Xbox, enabling testingcheats disables receiving trophies and achievements in the current save. On PC, achievements are not blocked by cheats. To get your trophies back, enter testingcheats false and reload the game.

Secrets and hidden features
- Shift + click is the main secret of the game.After testingcheats true, hold Shift and click on the Sim: a menu will open with the options “Make happy”, “Disable weakening needs”, “Change to SP” and “Teleport”. Clicking on the ground with Shift will teleport the Sim to the point. On consoles, instead of Shift + click - X + O (PlayStation) or A + B (Xbox).
- Full sim editing.The code cas.fulleditmode removes all restrictions of the character editor: you can change the figure, age, voice, gait and character traits of an already created Sim.
- Find out the character ID.The code sims.get_sim_id_by_name [first name] [last name] shows the 18-digit sim ID - it is needed for advanced cheats, such as vampire ones.
- Become a vampire and back.With the Vampires expansion: traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire turns a Sim into a vampire, traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire returns a human form. Transforming into a mermaid works similarly: trait_OccultMermaid.
- Clean screenshots.headlineeffects off removes diamonds above heads and clouds of thoughts - ideal for beautiful shots. Return: headlineeffects on.
- Endless consumables.objects.consumables_infinite_toggle makes potions and food infinite - you can permanently fix the desired emotion or actual eternal youth through a potion from a cow plant.
- Cheating is not punished.Unlike RDR2, cheats in The Sims 4 do not disable saves: EA officially allows codes, all progression with them is saved.
Will codes still work in 2026?
Yes. The basic set of The Sims 4 cheats has remained unchanged since 2014 and is confirmed by the official EA certificate. With each new addition, separate codes are added - for example, fresh skills and careers from the latest expansions are read in the same universal format stats.set_skill_level and careers.promote.
