GTA 5 cheat codes: all codes on PC, PS5 and Xbox - invulnerability, weapons, vehicles (August 2026)
Information is current as of August 2026.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was released back in 2013, but even in 2026 it remains one of the most popular games on the planet - largely thanks to the cheat codes that Rockstar traditionally builds into the story mode. Invulnerability, a full arsenal, lunar gravity, helicopter spawn at the snap of a finger - all this still works today on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This material contains a complete list of working GTA 5 codes, ways to enter them and secrets that not everyone knows about.
How to enter cheat codes in GTA 5
There are three ways to activate cheats, all of them only work in story mode (codes do not work in GTA Online):
- On PC- press the tilde key (~) during the game and enter the code word into the console that appears.
- On PlayStation and Xbox— quickly press a sequence of buttons on the gamepad directly during the game, without opening the pause menu. Successful entry is confirmed by an on-screen notification.
- On any platform— take out the in-game phone (up arrow on the cross), open contacts and dial the cheat number. This is the fastest and most reliable method on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Important:activating any cheat disables achievements and trophies for the current gaming session. After restarting the game, they become available again, so save in a separate slot before experimenting.
Codes for health, weapons and wanted
| Effect | Code on PC | Phone number |
|---|---|---|
| Invulnerability for 5 minutes | PAINKILLER | 1-999-724-654-5537 |
| Maximum health and armor | TURTLE | 1-999-887-853 |
| All weapons and ammunition | TOOLUP | 1-999-866-587 |

Invulnerability lasts exactly five minutes - after the period expires, the code must be entered again. Please note: “God mode” does not save you from drowning even in scripted mission scenes.

Secrets and hidden features
- Black phone.Dial 1-999-367-3767 - a random explosion will occur above the character's head, and the phone will change color and become a little larger. This is the only cheat that changes the phone itself.
- Director mode. The code JRTALENT (on PC) opens Director Mode: you can play as any NPC, animals and characters, change the time of day and make your own videos.
- There is no cheat for money.Rockstar fundamentally did not add a code for money either to the story or to GTA Online. A legal way to get rich in the story mode is assassination missions from Lester in conjunction with the stock exchange: buy shares of the target’s competitors before completing the task and sell them after the price jumps. This way you can earn more than a billion for each hero.
- Million in GTA Online.PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim a monthly GTA$1,000,000 bonus through the in-game Maze Bank site - this is an official promotion, not a cheat.
- Re-enter - cancel. Most cheat effects (gravity, slowdown, intoxication) are disabled by entering the same code again, so there is no need to wait for the effect to end.
- Combinations. The most spectacular combinations: “lunar gravity + super jump” for flying across the block and “explosive bullets + invulnerability” for a war with the police with a five-star wanted list.
Will codes still work in 2026?
Yes. The set of GTA 5 cheat codes has not changed since release and works the same in all current versions of the game - from PS3 and Xbox 360 to the Expanded & Enhanced edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and the updated PC port. Rockstar has not removed or changed any code, so the list above is fully operational as of August 2026.
