Brawl Stars: Beginner's Guide 2026 — Characters, Game Modes, and Quick Leveling

Brawl Stars: гайд для новичков 2026 — бойцы, режимы и быстрая прокачка

Brawl Stars in 2026 features 108 brawlers, a dozen game modes, and a revamped Brawler Blast progression system. It’s easy for a new player to get overwhelmed: which brawler to level up, where to spend coins, and which mode to choose. This guide will take you from your first battle to playing with confidence.

How the Game Works

Matches in Brawl Stars last 2–3 minutes—they’re fast-paced 3v3 arcade battles or “every man for himself” matches. Each fighter has: a basic attack, a Super (which charges up from hits), a gadget, Star Powers, and a Hypercharge. Your Power Level (1–11) increases with Power Points and coins—but skilled play is more important than leveling up, and at the start, you’ll face opponents at your own level.

How to Unlock New Fighters: Brawler Blast

Since September 2026, Starr Road has been replaced by Brawler Blast—a “dash” feature where credits move you to the next fighter, and unlocking them also grants bonuses: Power Points, gadgets, Star Powers, or even a Hypercharge. Prices by rarity:

  • Rare—160 credits, Super Rare—430, Epic—925;
  • Mythic — 1,900, Legendary — 3,800, Ultra-Legendary — 5,500.

Credits come from the Battle Pass, daily rewards, and Starr Drops. The main rule for beginners: don’t spread your credits too thin—choose one fighter in Brawler Blast and level them up all the way.

Who to Level Up First

The starting character, Shelly, is stronger for longer than she seems—don’t ditch her right away. Among the early fighters, the best investments are:

  • Nita—she tanks like a bear and rakes in points; she’s easy to master;
  • Colt—teaches the game’s key skill: anticipating shots;
  • Bo—long-range control, still relevant even in the top meta;
  • Jesse—her turret plays for you in Crystal Capture.

Don’t chase legendary fighters until you reach 10,000–15,000 cups—epic fighters are just as strong if played correctly.

What to Spend Coins and Crystals On

  • Coins — spend only on power levels for your main fighters (2–3 favorites), not on every single one;
  • Crystals (gems)—the most valuable currency: save them for the Battle Pass; it’s the best value in the game. Don’t spend them on skins at the start;
  • Credits — invest them in one chosen brawler in Brawler Blast;
  • Bling—spend on skins and pins; it doesn’t affect anything else.

Which Modes to Play

  • Crystal Capture—the best mode for learning the basics: holding the center and playing as a team;
  • Brawl Ball—3v3 “soccer,” a quick way to farm cups if you get a good team;
  • Clash — a solo battle royale: teaches positioning, but not team play;
  • Ranked — will unlock later; you should only play there with level 9+ fighters.

Five Beginner Mistakes

  • Playing aimlessly from spawn to spawn—every mode has an objective (crystals, a ball, a zone); kills are secondary;
  • Spending coins on all fighters at once — leveling up “across the board” will leave you without a strong main fighter;
  • Using auto-aim at long range—learn to aim manually; this is the game’s most important skill;
  • Ignoring the map—you need different fighters for each mode and map;
  • Buying “free gems” on third-party sites—it’s a scam; legitimate bonuses come only from Supercell Store codes and QR codes from official channels.

For the first few weeks, play 2–3 modes with 2–3 characters—this will help you level up and earn cups much faster. Good luck in the arena!
