TOEM 2 releases September 29, 2026

TOEM 2, the sequel to the black-and-white photo adventure from the Swedish studio Something We Made, is released on September 29, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The first part, released in 2021, received a BAFTA Award for Best Debut and extremely positive reviews from players on Steam.

More than a photograph

The events of the sequel take place several years after the original. The player once again takes on the role of an inquisitive photographer and embarks on his greatest journey through the world of TOEM. Along the way you will make friends who can join the hero and influence the development of the plot and its ending.

The main innovation is movement: the hero can now jump and climb, which allows him to view the world from new angles and find hidden details. The camera has turned into a multitool: with its help you can not only take pictures, but also interact with the world - for example, fix a clogged pipe with a screwdriver.

Updated visual style

The world has become completely three-dimensional and smooth: illustrated characters in the signature cartoon style stand out against the backdrop of three-dimensional environments. The developers note that they have assembled the same team, including composers, and added new members to ensure that the sequel remains true to the spirit of the original.
