Stygian: Outer Gods 1.0: the final release of Lovecraftian horror on PC
On October 26, 2026, Misterial Games studio and Fulqrum Publishing (formerly 1C Publishing) released the final version 1.0 of the Lovecraftian horror game Stygian: Outer Gods. The game has been in Steam Early Access since April 2025, and now its full version is available on PC on Steam and GOG with a starting discount of 20%: the base price is $24.99, the promotional price is $19.99.
What is Stygian: Outer Gods
The plot takes place in the Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones universe and introduces the events leading up to the Black Day. The main character, Jack Harrison, goes to the port city of Kingsport to find his missing father, but a shipwreck cuts off his way back. In a half-abandoned town, where it is unpleasantly quiet even in clear weather, the hero will have to survive among cultists, alien creatures and ancient forces whose plans surpass human understanding.
This is a survival horror with RPG elements and a first-person perspective: every bullet and every decision matters. The key mechanic is the hero’s mind, which changes from what he sees and experiences. Fear controls the gameplay, and not just the atmosphere: the shocks experienced open up new facets of perception, but also break the psyche.
What did version 1.0 bring?
- a final story chapter with multiple endings;
- new puzzles, artifacts and crafting recipes;
- types of weapons, previously unknown enemies and bosses;
- improved balance, optimization and full Russian localization of the text.
The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 with Nanite technology, which allows you to pull out the detail of the foggy forests, mines and cemeteries of Kingsport. The project is made in the spirit of the classics of the genre: there is a lot of reading, exploring dark corners and trying to maintain not only health, but also sanity.
For fans of the Cthulhu mythos and the first Stygian, this is an opportunity to see the familiar universe from a new side - long before the events of the original.
