Sejong the Great in Rise of Kingdoms: New Legendary Foot Soldier Yi To Revealed

Lilith has officially revealed the skills of Yi To's new legendary infantry commander, Sejong the Great, the Korean ruler of the Joseon Dynasty. The set is designed for punitive damage, counterattacks and strengthening the squad during a protracted battle. Together with him they showed the second legendary infantryman - Sultan Selim I.

The announcement was released on October 19 on the official social networks of Rise of Kingdoms. Yi To received the roles of "infantry / versatility / punitive damage" (smite), and his motto was the phrase "The duty of the king is to the people." At the same time, the developers revealed the Turkish commander Selim I with the roles “infantry / garrison / defense” and the active skill “Prince of Trebizond”.

Skills And That

  • Active skill “Fortified Kingdom” : requires 1000 rage, hits three enemy units with a fan with a punitive damage factor of 2700 (for each additional target, damage to it is reduced by 15%). After activation, the unit receives the Fortify effect for 5 seconds: when receiving damage, there is a 50% chance to counterattack a source with a damage factor of 100 - up to three triggers per turn, no more than one per target.
  • “Quick March” : squad infantry receives +25% health and +15% march speed. If the unit is active on the battlefield, the active skill deals 5% more damage for every 7% of units lost (maximum +50%).
  • Impenetrable Borders : A pure infantry unit takes 15% less damage than usual. On the map, infantry additionally receives +35% to attack, and after using an active skill - +20% to counterattack damage for 5 seconds with a cooldown of 6 seconds.
  • “Unite and Shatter” : a field unit, when dealing or receiving normal damage, has a 50% chance of receiving a stack of Shatter (+3.5% to defense) and additionally deals punitive damage to three targets with a factor of 500; reload 3 seconds.
  • Sustained Momentum : Participating in the destruction of an enemy field unit slows up to five adjacent enemy units by 30% for 5 seconds, and after punitive damage has a 50% chance, increases the unit's normal damage by 15% for 5 seconds (6 second cooldown).

What does this mean for the meta?

Recruiting And That rewards patience: the longer the squad holds out and the more units it loses, the stronger the active skill hits. The combination of Fortify, defense and counterattack stacks makes the commander a candidate for field infantry units, and the march speed bonus allows you to catch up with the target or escape pressure. A detailed analysis of the multipliers has already been published on Russian-language portals and in video guides: the authors are checking whether the newcomer can displace the current infantry elite.
