Rise of Kingdoms developers will rework crystal technologies: new building and resource conversion
In the September issue of the traditional “Face to Face with the Developers” column, released on September 20, 2026, the Rise of Kingdoms team revealed plans to rework one of the most controversial systems of the Lost Kingdom - crystal technologies. The main complaint of players in recent seasons is related to currency: Arcane stones are accumulated in excess, but Arcane crystals, on the contrary, are constantly not enough to upgrade technologies.
Crystal Refinery and currency conversion
The main change is the new Crystal Refinery building. It will allow you to convert Arcane stones into Arcane crystals at a fixed rate. The developers have not yet disclosed the exact exchange ratio - they promise to publish details closer to the release of the update. In addition to conversion, the rework promised improvements to the quality of life: players will be able to exchange large amounts of resources in one action and quickly manage accumulated materials.
Return of Strife and other announcements
In addition to the rework of the crystal branch, the release confirmed the return of the Strife mode, which fans asked for back after last year's season. During the meeting, the developers made 12 announcements regarding Lost Kingdom, events, and balance plans.
The exact release dates for the rework have not yet been announced - judging by the wording of the team, we are talking about one of the next updates after 1.1.12 “Dreams of Phantasm”.
