Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 Remake will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16
Capcom continues to support Nintendo Switch 2: at the September Nintendo Direct, the Japanese publisher announced ports of three modern remakes - Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 .
All three games will be released digitally on consoles on October 16, 2026 . Physical editions will appear later - in 2027.
What's inside
- Resident Evil 2 Remake - survival horror in the Raccoon City police station
- Resident Evil 3 Remake - chases around the city and the finale of the history of the Umbrella corporation
- Resident Evil 4 Remake - iconic chapter with Leon Kennedy
The remakes are created on the RE Engine, which Capcom has repeatedly proven that it can scale for less powerful hardware. Previously, Resident Evil Village and Requiem were released on Switch 2, so the technological barrier has been removed.
Thus, all the modern “classics” of Resident Evil will be in a portable format for the first time - one platform is enough to go through the story from Raccoon City to Europe.
