NBA 2K27 released on PC and consoles - what's new in the simulator
On September 4, 2026, NBA 2K27 was released, the next part of the annual basketball franchise from the Visual Concepts studio and the publishing house 2K Games. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The face of the standard edition is San Antonio Spurs center Victor Vembanyama, and the Deluxe version, for the first time in the history of the series, received a cover with a women's basketball player - Caitlin Clark from the Indiana Fever.
Key Gameplay Changes
The developers continued to develop ProPLAY technology, which brings real NBA animations and movements directly into the game. In NBA 2K27, the attack system has been significantly redesigned: step-through up-and-under has been added, dribbling customization has been expanded, no-look passes and other elements have appeared that allow you to diversify combinations on the court.
All dunks are now dependent on the Dunk Meter , making finishing attacks more dynamic and time-intensive. AI defenders have received improved decision logic, and the Badges system has been updated based on community feedback.
Modes and content
Traditional regimes have returned in full force. MyCAREER offers the largest cinematic campaign in the history of the series, with a co-op experience for the first time in the franchise. MyTEAM received a cross-platform Auction House for PS5 and Xbox Series. MyNBA mode maintains the depth of franchise management.
A major innovation concerns The City - it is now a co-ed space where you can create a female MyPLAYER and compete on common platforms. The return of the legendary Rucker Park added nostalgia to street basketball fans.
Editions and prices
The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, the Early Access Deluxe Edition is priced at $99.99, and the limited Ultra Edition costs $149.99. Early access for Deluxe and Ultra owners started on August 26th.
