NBA 2K27: Victor Wembanyama Is the Cover Star for the New Season

Visual Concepts and 2K have released the latest installment of the NBA 2K27 basketball simulation. The game is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The cover of the standard edition features San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

What’s New in NBA 2K27

This year, the developers have focused on the depth of gameplay modes and realism. MyCAREER introduces a new story-driven path where players must rise from the streets to the league’s main arena. The progression system has been revamped: character development is now more flexible and allows for the creation of unique archetypes.

MyTEAM now features new deck-building mechanics and a system of daily challenges with exclusive rewards. The collection includes rare cards of legends from years past and current stars, including the 2026–27 season’s rookies.

The main new feature is MyNBA 2.0 mode, which offers expanded franchise management tools. Managers can now negotiate with player agents, build new arenas, and influence their team’s television rights.

Technical Improvements

On next-gen consoles and PC, the game runs in native 4K at 60 FPS with support for real-time ray tracing. Ball physics, player collision mechanics, and off-ball animations have been improved. Support for NVIDIA DLSS 5 and AMD FSR 3.1 has also been added to boost performance on modern graphics cards.
