ID@Xbox showcase results - October 2026: main announcements and release dates
On October 20, 2026, another ID@Xbox showcase took place, this time held in collaboration with IGN. The broadcast showed trailers and gameplay of 18 games: from remasters of famous hits to world premieres, and also confirmed several release dates ahead of the holidays.
The main thing shown
- The Wolf Among Us Remastered is an updated version of Telltale's detective story with a new Noir mode, deleted scenes and improved graphics. Release on October 29 on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
- Shrek 2 Remastered is a re-release of a cooperative adventure based on the cartoon: updated graphics, photo mode and additional features. Released November 10th.
- Zero Parades: Director's Cut from ZA/UM is a spy RPG with tens of thousands of words of new text and full English voice acting. Release November 3rd.
- A Game About Digging a Hole Together is a co-op sequel to the game about digging a hole with friends. Releases on December 4th on Game Pass on release day.
- Scramble Knights Online is a cooperative action game with short quests and dungeons. Start on October 26th.
They also showed the incremental office simulator Paper Shredder (winter 2026), the horror Mouthwashing (October 29), the atmospheric adventure Magenta Down, the platformer Croak, the cozy collectible Waveling Island and a number of other projects for 2027.
What does this mean for Xbox?
The showcase once again emphasized Microsoft's bet on independent developers: almost all announcements will be released on Game Pass on the day of release, and some will support Xbox Play Anywhere. This is a way for players to keep track of new indie titles without purchasing each one separately.
