Atari and Pipeworks Studios have announced a remaster of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, the iconic 2002 arena fighting game originally released on Xbox and GameCube. The release of the updated version is scheduled for November 3, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
What's inside
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered retains the formula of the original: the player chooses a monster and fights his opponents with a set of brutal moves in recreated city arenas and other locations. In addition to local co-op and single-screen showdowns, a new online multiplayer has been added - for the first time in the history of the game, you can fight with friends online.
The original game is remembered by Godzilla fans as one of the first arenas where you could control the legendary lizard and his opponents, destroying buildings along the way. The remaster brings this classic back to modern platforms after more than two decades.
