Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition - release October 1, 2026 with Echoes of Sekigahara expansion pack
Sucker Punch and Sony have revealed details of Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition, which will be released on October 1, 2026 on PlayStation 5. It will include the game itself, the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion, the new Most Wanted mode, and all previously released Digital Deluxe content. The latest trailer was shown as part of the State of Play Japan.
The story addition Echoes of Sekigahara develops the story of Atsu. Its events unfold simultaneously in the present - in the valley that once belonged to the Snake and his followers from the Viper gang - and in the past, during the Battle of Sekigahara, which became a turning point in the heroine’s life. The expansion will include a figure from Atsu's past named Nagato, new heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes and enemies.
Most Wanted Mode
The second innovation is a single-player battle mode in a survival format with roguelike elements. The player takes contracts with a reward, fights waves of enemies and bosses and receives perks. As you progress, new playable characters are revealed - Atsu, Oyuki and Nagato, each with their own fighting style.
The Complete Edition is priced at $69.99, and owners of the original game will be able to upgrade to it for $14.99. The pre-order bonus will be Sakai armor. In addition, a free update on October 1 will add Beauty of Yōtei mode for all players to enjoy the Ezo landscapes in peace and a number of quality of life improvements.
