Monochrome roguelike platformer Gennady will be released on October 28 on PC and consoles
The monochrome roguelike platformer Gennady from the Armenian studio Feed 64 and the publishing house Sobaka Studio has received a release date - the game will be released on October 28, 2026 on PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. The demo is available on all platforms.
The main character, Gennady, wakes up on a bus after a bad dream - and discovers that he is in a gloomy alien factory that is going to grind him into minced meat. The pants got lost somewhere. Salvation must be sought by force: through procedurally generated black and white locations infested with chthonic creatures.
Key mechanics
- Combat on the move: the hero breaks through collapsing platforms and bloody walls like a living projectile.
- Alien Weapons: Fisticuffs are complemented by alien guns and skills like Big Knuckles and Fire Wave.
- Fury Mode: The higher the speed, the greater the damage - risk becomes a weapon.
- Artifacts: Some improvements are retained between runs, mitigating permanent death.
The developers call the era of Earthworm Jim their inspiration - the same absurd cruelty, but in black and white hand-drawn graphics. Russian and ten other languages are supported at launch.
