Forever Ago - a road adventure from Annapurna Interactive will be released on October 8
Studio Third Shift and publisher Annapurna Interactive have announced the release date for Forever Ago, a single-player road adventure. The game will be released on October 8, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
The main character is Alfred, who, after a tragic blow of fate, sets off on a journey to the north in search of redemption. Along the way, picturesque places await him: from quiet forest paths to scorching wastelands. The player will explore the environment, meet people and learn their stories, faith and struggles.
Camera and memory
The key mechanic is the old instant camera. The photographs document the journey and help solve small environmental mysteries. A separate storyline is dedicated to the love of Alfred and Audrey - a story that, according to the authors, survives time.
Sound and actors
Forever Ago is described as a story of broken dreams, loss and regret, but also of courage, hope and true friendship. The characters are voiced by famous actors, and the soundtrack was written by composer Clark Aboud, who wrote the music for Slay the Spire and Kind Words.
