FF7 Revelation - April 8, 2027: release of the finale of the open-world remake trilogy
During the State of Play, Square Enix presented a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Revelation and announced a release date: the final part of the remake trilogy will be released on April 8, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. This will happen on the 30th anniversary of the original Final Fantasy VII.
Cloud and his squad face off against Sephiroth, who is approaching divine power, and Meteor, who threatens to destroy the planet. The key feature will be the open world: the planet can be freely explored on the Highwind airship and parachuted anywhere. A chocobo named Pico will help you travel, and a crimson hook gun is provided to move around locations.
Characters and the FITS system
Sid Highwind and Vincent Valentine will become fully playable. During exploration and battles, you will be able to freely switch between squad members. The new FITS system gives heroes tactical suits and classic professions: Warrior, Knight, Black Mage and Summoner. The enemies will be giant Guns, and Typhon was shown among the summons.
Pre-orders are now open: Standard will cost $69.99, Deluxe will cost $99.99 (soundtrack, artbook, steelbook), and the Collector's Edition for $349.99 will include a statue of Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth. Premium digital editions will provide early access.
