Enshrouded leaves early access on October 15: version 1.0 launches on PC and PS5

Keen Games has announced the full release date for Enshrouded: version 1.0 will leave early access on October 15, 2026. On the same day, the game will reach consoles for the first time - on PlayStation 5 with support for PS5 Pro.

Two and a half years in early access

Enshrouded launched on Steam on January 24, 2024, and has received eight major updates since then. The latest of these, Forging the Path, completely overhauled the combat system, weapons, armor and skill tree, and also added Adventure Sharing - access to worlds built by the community. Peak online on Steam reached 160,405 concurrent players.

The action takes place on the vox continent of Ambervale: the player acts as a Flameborn, explores a world infected with the destructive mist Veil, builds bases, fights bosses and plays the game in co-op. According to the studio, the release trailer hints at a new floating island biome and noticeably improved lighting, and details about optimization, quality of life changes and new content are promised to be revealed this coming summer.

Xbox - spring 2027

The Xbox Series X|S version has been postponed to spring 2027. Studio CEO Jan Jöckel attributed the decision to a desire not to sacrifice quality: “We know Xbox players expect the best, and work on this version continues.”
