Endless Legend 2 leaves early access on September 17: version 1.0, consoles and a new faction
Endless Legend 2 ends its journey in early access: version 1.0 will be released on September 17, 2026. The strategy from Amplitude Studios and publisher Hooded Horse will be released simultaneously on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Two additional physical editions are being prepared for PS5 in collaboration with the Strictly Limited studio.
The game has been in early access since the fall of 2025 and is priced at $49.99 - the price will not change after the release of version 1.0. Set on the planet Sayadha, where receding oceans reveal ancient secrets, players must build cities and fight for survival on an ever-changing map.
What will version 1.0 add?
- Sand Chroniclers - the sixth faction, the oldest civilization on the planet, capable of terraforming the world back into the desert; it has its own storyline, units, heroes and technologies;
- two schismatic factions: the Order of Zelevas - a conquering detachment that broke away from Sheredin, and the Severed Claw - a variant of the Necrophages, replenishing the ranks with slaves;
- a new junior faction, Mangrove of Harmony, created with the participation of the community, with its own hero and quest chain;
- expanded endgame, balancing and improved interface based on player feedback.
Amplitude Studios was one of the first teams to try the Early Access format back in 2011 with Endless Space, and it was important for the studio to return to this model after regaining independence in 2024. An updated demo with the Sheredin and Last Lords factions is already available on Steam and consoles.
