DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered - release September 30, 2026
Omega Force studio and Koei Tecmo publisher have announced the exact release date of DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered. A remake of the cult 2001 slasher film and its expansion Xtreme Legends will be released on September 30, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and PC (Steam).
What changed in the remake
DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 is considered one of the games that defined the one-against-thousands mass slasher genre. Complete Edition Remastered brings together the original game and the Xtreme Legends expansion, completely remastered for modern platforms.
- Modern graphics - redesigned character models, textures, lighting and effects;
- All Xtreme Legends content - additional scenarios, modes and warriors;
- Improved pace of battle - even more dynamic battles against fields of enemies;
- Supports modern platforms - including Nintendo Switch 2.
The developers promise to preserve the signature atmosphere of the Three Kingdoms era: familiar officers, music and famous one-shots against generals, but make the controls and camera convenient by modern standards.
Who will be interested
The project is designed both for series veterans who are nostalgic for the PS2 era, and for newcomers who are familiar with later serialized parts. The remake will be one of Koei Tecmo's biggest releases this fall.
