Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen - Major Expansion Coming October 9, 2026
Capcom has revealed the first major expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2. The Dark Arisen expansion will be released on October 9, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and with it the game will debut on Nintendo Switch 2 - the console will receive a complete edition with the base game and all add-ons.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Expansion page has appeared on Steam with open pre-order. To launch the content, you will need the base version of the game - the expansion continues the story of the Awakened One and his pawns, adding new regions, monsters and equipment.

- New storyline featuring characters from the base game
- Unexplored territories beyond Vermund and Battal
- New maturation classes and endgame activities
- Complete edition for Switch 2 without the need to purchase add-ons separately
Dragon's Dogma 2 was released in March 2024 and sold over 2.5 million copies in its first month. Dark Arisen is the first story expansion of this scale in more than two years of project support.
