Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is out on Nintendo Switch 2 - price and bonus for owners of the original
Today, October 6, 2026, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a remake of the Mickey Mouse platformer, was released on Nintendo Switch 2, which THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp studio have updated for modern platforms in the fall of 2024. The Switch 2 version is priced at $39.99 on digital stores.
In Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the player once again ventures into the World of Drawings, where the famous mouse uses a magic brush and paint thinner to decide the fate of forgotten Disney characters. The remake retained the plot and structure of the 2010 original, but redesigned the graphics, added new hero abilities - dash, sprint and hit the ground - and seriously reconfigured the camera, one of the main problems of the original source.
What will Switch 2 owners get?
The Nintendo console port is designed to offer improved visuals and performance compared to the original Switch version. Players who already purchased Rebrushed on the original console will also have access to a free upgrade pack to move to the new platform.
Let us remind you that the debut trailer for the remake was shown in March 2024, and the release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch took place in September of the same year. The release on Switch 2 completes the list of current platforms for the project.
