Crusader Kings 3: By God Alone - expansion release September 30, 2026

Paradox Interactive is releasing By God Alone for Crusader Kings III on September 30, 2026. The addon adds new gaming features with a focus on religious content: rulers will experience internal crises of faith, and players will receive tools to form their own teachings.

Religion as a Game Mechanic

By God Alone develops the faith system, one of the key mechanics of Crusader Kings III. Characters will now deal with doubts and tests of faith differently - this directly affects their decisions, relationships with neighbors and the internal politics of the domains. Players will be able to create and practice unique religious teachings, rebuilding the spiritual life of their dynasty.

Exit context

Crusader Kings III released in September 2020 and has since received several major additions, including Tours & Tournaments and Legacy of Persia. By God Alone continues the line of expanding the game's role-playing and diplomatic systems. The release date coincides with the sixth anniversary of the project.
