Control Resonant releases September 24: Dylan Faden vs. Hiss in Twisted Manhattan

Remedy Entertainment has announced the release date for Control Resonant as September 24, 2026. The Control sequel will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and later on Mac. Pre-orders are now open, and Digital Deluxe Edition owners will receive 48 hours of early access starting September 22nd.

New hero and new city

This time, the main playable hero is Dylan Faden, the brother of Jessie, who spent most of the original under the supervision of the Federal Bureau of Control. Resonant takes place in Manhattan as a mysterious cosmic force corrupts the city, and Hiss and Mold have escaped the confines of the Oldest House. Jessie has gone missing, and Dylan is forced to take her place - although he was not ready for this.

The gameplay has shifted towards melee combat: Dylan has the transforming weapon Aberrant in his arsenal. He is accompanied by FBK agent Zoe de Vera, as well as the returning Simon Arish and Emily Pope from the original game.

Remedy's biggest project yet

The developers call Control Resonant the studio's biggest game to date. The project is published by Remedy itself after purchasing the rights to the franchise, so it is a completely original work of the studio without an external publisher.
