Control Resonant: Remedy showed a new gameplay trailer with Manhattan
Remedy Entertainment has published a new gameplay trailer for Control Resonant , the continuation of the 2019 cult action game. This time, a paranormal disaster has reached beyond the Oldest House and reached Manhattan, where the distortion of reality becomes a threat to the entire city.
New hero and open world
The main protagonist is Dylan Faden , the brother of Jesse, the director of the Federal Bureau of Control in the first part. The plot begins with Jesse disappearing without a trace, and Dylan is forced to take on the role of protector of humanity from a cosmic threat.
Unlike the corridor structure of the original, Resonant offers large open areas of Manhattan with side quests and secrets. Each area of the city reacts differently to the invasion of paranormal forces: somewhere gravity is distorted, somewhere buildings change geometry, and on some streets time flows unpredictably.
Melee and RPG mechanics
A key innovation is the shift to melee combat instead of Jesse's telekinetic abilities. Dylan uses physical attacks combined with special skills gained from interacting with anomalous objects. The leveling system allows you to develop skills in several directions: stealth, aggressive assault or manipulation of the environment.
Remedy calls Control Resonant its biggest game yet. The campaign is designed to last 30 hours without taking into account additional activities. On PC, the project will receive support for full path tracing, RTX Mega Geometry, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.
Release date and platforms
Control Resonant is scheduled to release on September 24, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A macOS version will be released later this year. Pre-orders are already open - the game is in the top 3 for pre-orders in the USA, Germany and Brazil.
