Aion 2 will be released on October 5: a free MMORPG on Unreal Engine 5 with battles in the sky

On October 5, Aion 2 will be released on PC, the continuation of the cult Korean MMORPG, which NCSoft is building on Unreal Engine 5. The game is distributed using a free model: just create an account and download the client.

The sky is a battlefield

The main feature of the sequel is verticality. The developers claim that Aion 2 is the only MMORPG designed around aerial combat: the world is 36 times larger than the original, and every location, every battlefield is created taking into account the third dimension. Players become Devas - creatures for whom flight is not a method of movement, but the basis of the combat system. Height gives an advantage, and victory depends on accuracy, timing and positioning, not skill rotation.

Contents for years

The game features more than 200 dungeons in three formats: solo challenges, group dungeons for five and raids for ten players. Next to PvE is factional warfare - the Abyss connects both aspects so that PvE battles are always close to PvP. The picture is completed by one of the most advanced character editors (more than 200 parameters), a collection of wings, mounts and costumes, as well as the Shugo Festival - a set of mini-games from protecting merchants from waves of enemies to racing pets.
