Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games is not only one of the best Westerns in gaming history, but also a project with a proprietary cheat code system. In total, there are 37 cheats hidden in RDR2, and all of them still work: on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Unlike GTA, here the codes are entire phrases, and some of them must first be “found” in the game world. This material contains a complete list of RDR2 cheat codes, input instructions and secrets that will help you not lose your saves.
How to enter cheat codes in RDR2
The procedure is the same on all platforms:
- Pause the game and open the section"Settings".
- There will be a hint in the lower right corner of the screen: clickTriangleon PlayStation,Yon Xbox or select Cheats on PC.
- Click the same button again to open the input field and enter the passphrase.
- After activation, the cheat will appear in the list - then you can turn it on and off at any time without re-entering it.
Two important rules.First: letter case is not important, but punctuation is critical. Periods, commas and exclamation marks must be exactly as in the original, otherwise the code will not work. Second: enabled cheatdisables saves and achievements. Therefore, before experimenting, make a separate save, and then turn off cheats in the same menu - the ability to save will return.

Secrets: newspapers and hidden conditions
Codes marked with an asterisk (*) only work if they are in inventorynewspaperswith this phrase. Newspapers are sold by press merchants in Valentine, Saint-Denis and Blackwater, and the required issues appear as the story progresses:
- "Abundance is the dullest desire"— New Hanover Gazette No. 27, available from the first chapter.
- "Greed is American virtue"and“You long for sight and see nothing”- newspapers of the third chapter after the missions “Advertising - the new American art” and “Blood enemies, new and old.”
- "Virtue unearned is not virtue"- Saint Denis Times #48 after the mission "City Pleasures" in Chapter 4.
- "The lucky be strong evermore"- release after completion of Chapter 5.
- "You seek more than the world offers"— Saint Denis Times #52 after the mission “Son of the King” in Chapter 6.
- "You are a beast built for war"and"Would you be happier as a clown?"- epilogue newspapers.
Advice: buyeveryonethe new issue of the newspaper that you see - they cost a penny, and the supply will save you from returning to the city for the sake of one cheat.
What cheats can't do
There is no cheat for immortality in RDR2 - “god mode” was never added, despite requests from players. There is also no direct code for endless money: the “Greed is now a virtue” cheat gives out $500 per activation, but it can be entered an unlimited number of times, so in fact this is a cheat for money - just slow. Also note that cheats only work in story mode; they do not work in Red Dead Online.
